Guide to LeadsCon East 2013

The countdown is on: LeadsCon East 2013 is only a few days away, and Neutron Interactive is gearing up for yet another gathering of the best and brightest in the world of lead generation. This year’s event will take place on August 14th and 15th at the swanky Hilton Midtown hotel in the big apple itself – New York City. Here’s an insider’s guide on what to look for at this annual meeting of the marketing minds.

What’s so Special About LeadsCon?

LeadsCon is described as “the definitive conference for vertical media and direct response marketing.” Every year, thousands of people from hundreds of companies gather to share insights on the latest vertical media trends. Some of the companies attending this year will include Seniorliving.net, The Princeton Review, Allstate Insurance Co., Nationwide Medical Inc., and of course an all-star crew from Neutron Interactive.

There May Be No Room Service, but At Least Neutron Interactive Will Be There

In June 2013, the New York Times reported that, “in August, the New York Hilton Midtown, in the heart of Manhattan, will discontinue food and drink service to all 2,000 of its rooms. In its place will be a new self-service Herb n’ Kitchen stocked with grab-and-go items.” That means that conference-goers may have to do without the luxury of room service throughout this event. But as a consolation, at least you can be sure that Neutron will be represented at the Hilton, and in large numbers. In attendance will be: Dan Caffee (CEO), Carey Hilderbrand (VP of Educational Services), Felicia Romney (Director, Client Services), and Ryan Kempema (Partner Manager).

What to Expect

LeadsCon East 2013 will feature a number of interesting daytime sessions as well as plenty of networking opportunities. Some of the session titles include: “Secret Confessions of an Insurance Lead Generator,” “The End of Lead Gen As We Know It? TCPA And the Wireless Consent Problem,” and “What Brands Really Think of Performance Marketing.”

Schedule of After-hours Events

If you need a break from all of the awesome speakers and cool booth swag, be sure to check out these after-hours events: On August 14th from 5-6pm, meet all your old friends and make new ones over free drinks at the welcome reception in exhibit hall. And while you’re there, make sure to notice the beautiful napkins (hint: they’re the ones with the Neutron Interactive logo).

Then, on August 15th from 4-5pm, happy hour starts early at LeadsCon, so head to the reception hall again for some more drinks and networking. What to Eat While You’re There

Looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and de-compress from all of the awesomeness at LeadsCon? Check out these fine options: Vitae at 4 East 46th Street (between 5th Avenue & Madison Avenue) offers up top-notch American food, with great atmosphere and great service to boot. Or check out The Modern at 9 West 53rd Street for some great upscale French dining. If sushi is your thing, then head over to Natsumi at 226 West 50th Street (between 8th Avenue and Broadway), one of the best Japanese restaurants in town. Or if you’re craving a good old-fashioned American steak, try Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House at 1221 Avenue of the Americas (between 48th &49th Street).

All in all, it looks like it will be another year to remember at LeadsCon East 2013. So pack your bags and head to the Hilton Midtown New York City. Just don’t expect anyone to knock on your door asking if you want room service. See you there!
